Show Meeks of Martinez, Calif, returned home Monday after a two week's visit with her sister, Mrs. Nora Wright, and brother, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sherwood. Mrs. Nora Wright Is the proud grandmother of a great-granddaughter, Sabri-.na Sabri-.na Joe, who was born in Cedar City to Mr. and Mrs. Sam Bauer. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wright, also of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Gale of Sprlngville and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Olson and son of Orem visited with their mother and grandmother, Mrs. Altheda Al-theda Gale, on Wednesday. They also were fishing at Mlnersville Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Don Gale of Bountiful spent the weekend week-end with his mother, Mrs. Altheda Gale. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Farns-worth Farns-worth and children, Bart, Merann, Mike, and Lee of Ely, Nev. were visitors this week of Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Kessler. Recent visitors of the D. L. Kesslers were daughters Beatrice, Mr. and Mrs. Irvln Wade, Downey, Calif., and Mar Jane Edwards of Salt Lake City, and their granddaughter grand-daughter Sharon, Mr. and Mrs. Loren Spencer and 3 children, Raymond, Laura, and Elizabeth Jane. Elizabeth Eliza-beth Jane was blessed by her great-grandfather, D. L. Kessler Sunday and Raymond was blessed by Bishop Al-brecht. Al-brecht. Mr. and Mrs. S. K. Munk were recently in Salt Lake City on business. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Smith spent a week in Elko, Nev. recently, where Mrs. Smith attended the ArtFestlvaland participated In the workshop, given by Louis Heinztman, the well-known desert artist. art-ist. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Blng- ham of Concord, Calif, visited vis-ited with his parents, Mr. and Mr. Floren Bingham, the first three days of the opening of the fishing season. They got in some nice enjoyable enjoy-able fishing, getting their limit. Gary recently arrived in the States, after a six month's cruise in the South Pacific. Gary is stationed at Concord, Calif, at the present pres-ent time. Altheda Gale and Euzelle Thomas received word of the death of their brother-in-law, Leo Louis, of Comp-ton, Comp-ton, Calif, on Sunday morning, morn-ing, June 9th. Mrs. Naomi Hughes returned re-turned from attending graduation grad-uation exercises at Utah State University for her granddaughter, Valerie Hughes. She heard Vice President Ford address the graduates. Mrs. NaomlHughes stopped stopp-ed at Sherwood Hills for ESA State Convention. Mesdames Beatrice Ox-ley, Ox-ley, Fern Burbidge and Nel-da Nel-da Memmott attended the Business and Professional Women's Convention in Salt Lake City Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Moore returned from a month's visit vis-it with their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Loss and Jamie and Jason of Greeley, Colo. They also visited his brother, Alva Moore and her sister, Mrs. Kenneth Llnck, both in Sali-na, Sali-na, Kansas. Mr. and Mrs. James |
