Mrs. Merle Stowe of Salt Lake C:t were here over the weekenu to visit friends. Mr. and Mrs. Alden Johnson were in Salt Lake City last week where they visited their sons and their, families. Mr. and Mrs. Kirt Johnson and Alden Al-den Jr. Mrs. Johnso.n saw hor doctor for a medical check-up on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Thomas Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Thomas Jr. and children Steven, Stev-en, Susan and Michael of Lay-ton, Lay-ton, Utah spent last weekend with Bunnie's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elden Burke. The group camped and picked pinenuts in the west. Mr. and Mrs. David Garrett and daughter Tammy of Salt Lake City and Mr. Arnold Garrett Gar-rett of Raymond, Alberta, Canada Can-ada were guests of Pat's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Walker Walk-er during the past week. They returned to their home Tuesday. Tues-day. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Vor-heis Vor-heis of Kearns announce the birth of their baby son. John Raymond who was born Tuesday, Tues-day, Sept. 28th and weighed 6 lbs 13 oz. He has three sisters, sis-ters, Dorie, Patty and Laurie. The proud grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. John H. Walker of Milford. Mr. and Mrs. James Hardy, Harold Hardy, Sheldon Hardy and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Erick-son Erick-son and family journeyed to Sandy, Utah last weekend to attend the blessing of Aaron Douglas Hardy, new born son of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Hardy. He was blessed by his father, on Sunday during church services. ser-vices. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Smith attended the Lions Past District Dis-trict Governor's Conference in Heber Saturday and Sunday. Visitors at the home of Mrs. Mable Turner recently was her granddaughter Mrs. Brenda Lee Siefer of Ely, Nev. - Mr. and Mrs. Hy Tolley have returned from a three week vacation trip that took them through Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. Whils in Oregon they took in the Pendleton Roundup. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Leppink drove to Yellowstone National Park last Thursday to get their daughter, Mary Ann, who has been employed there for the summer. Mary Ann will enroll at the University of Utah for the fall term. They will return during the first of thr; week. A birthday dnner was in order at the Lund home this past week. Marvelee was five last Saturday and her father; Lamar, had a birthday on Monday. Mon-day. The family enjoyed a dinner topped off with birthday birth-day cake and ice cream. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Carl Boyter on Monday were Carl's two aunts and an uncle, Miss Retta Boyter and Mr. and Mrs. George Boyter of Beaver. Mr. and Mrs. Hal Smith and sons, Brad and Greg, stopped in Wednesday to visit with Janell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Baxter. They were returning re-turning from their vacation trip in Montana to their home in Reseda, Calif. Mrs. Harold J. Baxter is visiting with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Daly in Brea, Calif., where she will join in the welcoming of a new grandson. He was born Wednesday morning and weighed 8 lbs. Mrs. Max Baxter received word that her brother. Albert Cloward of Moroni, Utah, who had open heart surgery Monday Mon-day morning is doing very well. A call from SSgt. Clyde Briscoe from Vietnam to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Briscoe. Monday morning asked that they meet him in Salt Lake City. His tour of duty for this year being over, he will be home for a while. Overnight visitors on Friday at the home of Mrs. Adrainna Schoo were her two sisters and her brother-in-law, Mrs. Jo Walkotten of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hoeve |
