Jim Layland spent the week heme with his wife Leah and children in Callao. I Mr. and Mrs. Richard Timm spent one day in Delta last wsek. A baby shower was held at the home of Mabel Timm Friday Fri-day afternoon i.n honor of Linda Lin-da Timm. Those attending were: Leah Layland, Merna Lee, Inez Tripp, Eudene Parker, Park-er, Zerma Tripp, Larva Neil-son, Neil-son, Norma Christensen, and Barbara Rowley. Mrs. Christensen a"d children chil-dren were in Delta Wednesday. Terry Buccambuso and friend from Reno stopped to spend some time with Terry's grandfather, grand-father, O. Merlin Terry in Baker, Bak-er, before going on to Cedar City to enroll at SUSC. Thomas Dearden left Sunday Sun-day to enroll at SUSC where he "will be attending school this fall. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Richardson Richard-son helped their daughter Blanche move to Cedar City Saturday, where she will be attending college. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Rowley and two grandchildren went to Nephi Saturday to have their travel trailer repaired. Mr. and Ms. Clayton Van Gorder and granddaughter spent several days visiting with their son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Adrain Van Gorder and family. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Gonder were in Delta one day last week on business. O. Merlin Terry has been fixing up his new home he recently re-cently moved into, after selling his businesses in Ely to Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Kerr. Mr. and Mrs. John Huntington Hunting-ton of Caputa. South Dakota were overnight visitors Fridaj at the home of their son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Hunt-1 ington and grandchildren. Edna Heckethorn of Spring Valley spent Thursday visiting with her grandmother Blanche Yersin. Lorraine Jenson and daughter daugh-ter Cheryl were in Delta Friday. Fri-day. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Osborne recently returned home from a two weeks vacation where they toured through five states. The beautiful parks in Southern Utah and Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gonder, and Lee Dearden attended a power meeting in Ely on Tuesday. Tues-day. Then Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gonder went on to Elko. Nev. where Mr. Gonder had another power meeting to attend on Wednesday. The returned home Thursday. Bert Gledhill was admitted to the Wm. Bee Ririe hospital in Ely on Sunday with a heart condition. He was released on the 26th but will spend a few days at the home of his son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Rusty Gledhill. Darlene Whitlock went to Ely on Sunday to get her mother, Matilda Swallow. Then they went on to Springville Monday morning where Mrs. Swallow will spend the next two weeks visiting with her daughter, Golden Johnson, and family and friends. Darlene returned re-turned home Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. John Brooks entertained at a 500 party last Saturday at their home. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Richardson Richard-son were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dee Heckathorn in Ely Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Rodney For-sythe For-sythe of Cedar City spent the weekend visiting with Mrs. Forsythe's parents, Mr. & Mrs. Chester Wheeler in Garrison. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Heckethorn Hecke-thorn of Ely and Edna Van Buskirk of ' Northport, Wash, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bud Richardson. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Dearden went to Salt Lake Wednesday to pick up their new Cadillac car. Terry Bleyl nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Dearden who has been staying with them this summer moved to Richfield to work for the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Chub Richardson Richard-son and son Buddy Jo went to Salt Lake Thursday to keep a dentist appointment. On the way home they visited with Mr. and Mrs. John Whitson in Pleasant Grove. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Yersin returned home on Friday after spending several days fishing at Strawberry reservoir. Mr. and Mrs. Vivian Dearden went to Salt Lake Wednesday to see the doctor. Barbara Rowley and Lesia Quiroz were in Delta on Thursday. Gloria Faircloth went home with them after being be-ing released from the West Millard hospital where she a week recovering from an appendicitis operation.
