Show APPALOOSA IIOPwSE CI.CB PICKS CONTEST WINNER Tho Color Country Appalooso Horse Club announces winner of their Queen Contest, which was held April 17 in Cedar City. The lovely winner is Ber-nice Ber-nice Burgess of St. George,, Utah, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Burgess. Her two attendants at-tendants are Marilyn Burgess of St. George, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Burge.ss and Karen Grant of Cedar City, daughter of Mrs. Glen A. Grant. Miss Burgess has been working with horses for seven years and has won many awards and trophies. tro-phies. In 1964 Bernice won a special award in Horsemanship, also second place in senior reining, rein-ing, third place in youth ride, fourth place Stump race at the; Color Country Appaloosa Horse Show last year. Miss Burgess will represent us at all the parades par-ades and Horse events our Club The Color Country Appaloosa Horse Club held a Horse Clinio in Cedar City, April 16 at the High School. Mr. Don Oberg, president of The Utah Appaloosa Appaloo-sa Horse Club and Mr. Ray Black, past president were here from Salt Lake area tp put prj the Cljnic. The CJinic consisted of discipling a horse, bride-ling, bride-ling, saddeling and also performance per-formance and showmanship. Mr. Oberg demonstrated while Mr. Black narrated. There was a good audience and it was very successful program. Coming soon is our second Annual All Appaloosa Horse Show which will be held May 7 and 8 at Bloomlngton, Utah, located just south of St. George. This will be a point show and approved by the National Appa. loosa Horse Club. You must hurry with entry blanks for time is drawing near.
