Mark Perkes, son of Mr. and Mrs. LaMon La-Mon Perkes of Minersville was the first baby at the Milford Valley Memorial Hospital this year, and not until 6:45 p.m. on January 13. Brian Mark weighed weigh-ed 6 lbs. and 3 ounces and was delivered by Dr. Symond. He will join brothers Kenneth 17, Scott 15, David 13 and Brent 9, and a sister Karen 8. Grandparents Grand-parents are Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Earl Bair of Richmond, Utah and Mr. and Mrs. Leo D. Perkes of Hyde Park, Utah. Brian pictured here with his mother Anna was joined at the hospital by three young Milfordites this week. Tigers Topple Beavers, Tangle With Kanab Fri. The big thing was sharp passing pass-ing and a balanced attack that saw White with 15 points, Barnes 13, Smith 11 and Ogden with his best game of the year and 9 points. Milford shot 39 from the floor making 21 field goals to 13 for Beaver. From the foul line it was a different story with four from Milford fouling out, Barnes. Taylor, White and Ogden. MILFORD ART GUILD TO HOLD PIE SALE The Milford Art Guild will hold a Pie Sale on Monday January 25 at 10 a.m. at the Jefferson Merc. Proceeds of the sale will go to the Spring Art Exxhibition to be held at the Milford Elementary Ele-mentary School in the Auditorium Auditor-ium April 24-25. The Tiger Squad will meet Kanab on their home court in Kanab this Friday, Jan. 22. The Tigers lost to Kanab 67-48 just before Christmas but after ths game they put together in Beaver Bea-ver should be able to reverse that score Friday night.
