Show REGISTRATION UP OVER LAST YEAR PRINCIPALS SAY School registration shows an mciease in both the high school and the elementary school according ac-cording to principals Jess Long and Jim Briggs. The high school registered 206 students so far and has among Uitm some 21 new students stu-dents who have never been registered by the Milford system. sys-tem. The elementary school registered regis-tered 209 students on August 31, this is an increase of 4 over the elementary enrollment of last year but shows the addition addit-ion of 23 new students to the Mili'ord system. The difference lies in the fact that we graduated a very large class to the 7th grade last year, Mr. Briggs said. The breakdown in the elementary ele-mentary goes as follows: Kindergarten 29, 1st grade 30, 2nd grade 31, 3rd grade 27, 4th grade 38, 5th grade 29, and 6th grade 25. The 4th grade, which is the largest class at 38 and may be a little large for one teacher ne said. Principal Briggs explained the activity fee which is charged charg-ed to all elementary students. It goes to pay for the following: 1. Special films. 2. Scholastic magazine. 3. High School Ball. These are games played during school hours. 4. High School plays. 5. Special assemblies. 6. Some special work books, not furnished by the district. The fee is $3.50, Mr.Briggs said and all students in the elementary must pay this. The first assembly program is scheduled for September 9th at 11 a.m. in the elementary. It will be a comic-magician act from the National School Assemblies As-semblies agency. K.
