Mrs. Jim Sloan was guest speaker at the Ecumenical Women's Group Spring Tea held Tuesday at the Presbyterian Presby-terian Church in Delta. Sgt. and Mrs. Reed Will-yard Will-yard announce the birth of a new son, April 11, in Gibbs Army Hospital, in Frankfurt, Germany. The newcomer weighed 6 lbs 5 oz. The Will-yards Will-yards have a daughter, Kim-berlee. Kim-berlee. Grandparents are Mr. Mrs. Helen Cook and son Bill, and Mrs. Bertha Cottrell were in Salt Lake last week, and viewed the Space Capsule on display at the Capitol Building. Mrs. Joan Cook and baby Douglas Lee of Salt Lake are spending a week with Mrs. Bertha Cottrell. Doug Cook will join his wife here for the Memorial holidays. Mrs. Bertha Cottrell will attend at-tend high school commencement commence-ment exercises for a granddaughter, grand-daughter, Janice Cottrell, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Cottrell, Sunday in Salt Lake. Mrs. Arvilla Leavitt has returned re-turned to her home in Salt Lake after spending a week with her brother and sister in law, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Muir; also Mr. and Mrs. Bill Kirk and family. Roger Memmott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orion Memmott, received re-ceived his Master's Degree in Fine Arts from the University of California at Irbine, and will teach at the University of Cincinnatti, Ohio, next year. Mr. and Mrs. Memmott will visit relatives during the summer, sum-mer, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Benton, Saratoga, Cal.; Mr. and Mrs. Doug Memmott and children at Willows, Cal., and the Orion Memmotts. Mrs. Leah Foerster of Bountiful Boun-tiful remained in Milford after delivering the baccalaureate and Mrs. Chase Murdock of Beaver and Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Willyard, Milford. The new son was christented Curtis Reed on May 3 in the Hanau Servicemen's Branch, Hanau, Germany. Present for the chistening was Hal Edwards of Milford, who is also stationed in Germany. Mrs. Flo Taylor and son Tim have left for Pocatella, Idaho, to spend the summer. Tim has been attending Milford Mil-ford High School. Rodney Ogden will be graduated grad-uated Friday from the BYU. Attending the exercises will be his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ogden Chad- and Kevin, Mrs. Phyllis Price and children. Rodney, his wife Jerry and their daughter Cheryl will spend part of the summer here. Mrs. Irene Stewart and son James will spend the Memorial Memor-ial Holidays in Joseph, Price and Elmo, visitng relatives Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Allison, Clifford Smith and son Scott. John J. Schnackenberg of Kooskia, Idaho, spent several days here visitng friends. Mr. Schnackenberg retired about ten years ago as road foreman of engines for the Union Pacific, Pa-cific, and is now mayor of Kooskia. Received a note from Mrs. Katherine Shannon, former Milford resident now living in Sherman Oaks, Cal., saying her son John had arrived home from Vietnam and received his discharge from the Armed Forces. Mrs. Frances Smithson la visiting her. daughter in Nevada Ne-vada City, Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Koch, Mrs. Rozetta Handley and Mrs. Rosalie Cook made a business bus-iness trip to Cedar City Monday. Mon-day. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Keetch attended funeral services serv-ices in Pleasant Grove Saturday Satur-day for Mrs. Keetch's sister, Mrs. Oral Wright. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Pool were in Salt Lake this week on a business trip. Mrs. Helen Cook left Wednesday Wed-nesday for Marysville, Kan., to attend a class reunion. She will spend two weeks visiting relatives and old friends. Mr. and Mrs. B. Lee of Tucson, Ariz., spent a week with her mother, Mrs .Mae Colborn. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Mellor were here this week to attend graduation exercises for his brother, Dale. Lowell was en route from Oklahoma to his new army assignment in Vietnam. Viet-nam. Mr. and Mrs. Rolan Larsen and daughters Lori and Jodi have been in Salt Lake to see the Larsens' granddaughter Jodi Ann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Larsen born May 15. Allen Martin, Milford High graduate, has returned to his home on the Navajo Indian Reservation near Page, Ariz. He plans to attend the BYU this fall. |
