The Jolly 50 Sewing Club met last Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Lola Roberts. Griffiths left for Houston, Texas, to spend a month with their daughter and family. Tommy Mathews, who had been stationed in Germany, has been discharged from the U. S. Army. Howard Pryor, of Minersville, Miners-ville, Russell Mayer, J. C. Smith and Lee Schiedeman of Milford were in Salt Lake last Tuesday on Milford Valley Memorial Hospital business. O Mr. and Mrs. Mark Thompson Thomp-son have purchased the house of the late Wayne Mathews west of town. Daisy Gillins, American Legion Le-gion Auxiliary Savings Stamps chairman, reports that $305.75 worth of savings stamps were purchased during the school year by elementary students. Mrs. Cassie McKnight is in the northern part of the state with her children, Mrs. Lo-retta Lo-retta Cline, Mr. and Mrs. Jess McKnight and Mr. and Mrs. Karl Murdock. Residents 65 years of age and older will be invited to a noon luncheon, followed by a program and social. O Thirteen Japanese Boy Scouts from Ogden will camp at the Minersville Reservoir, starting June 13. They will have a guided tour of the county, under supervision of the Utah Department of Tourism Tour-ism and Publicity. Jule Gillins is again in Salt Lake for medical treatment. Here to visit Mrs. Armina Banks last week end were her children, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Banks and family and Blaine and Emma Sidwell, all of Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. George Banks of Lund. Mrs. Banks, a resident of the Senior Citzen Center at the Milford Valley Hospital, was released to spend the day with her children. chil-dren. They also have a daughter Christi. Grandmother June Pearson has been in Salt Lake assisting the family. Mrs. Rachel Eyre is in the Milford Valley Hospital for treatment of concussion and bruises suffered last week when she was roping a calf. Mr. and Mrs. Bub Hayward and friends of Ely, Nev., were here for the stock show. They brought calves for the roping events.
