Show The Minersville 4-Hers left' Tuesday morning for Kents Lake where they joined other Beaver County 4-H groups for the annual three-day outing. The Literary Club entertained entertain-ed their husbands' at a cook-out Wednesday evening at the Beaver Bea-ver Countv recreation area. At the regular meeting of the American Legion Auxiliary held last week at the home of Mrs. Lillie Lambson. the 1969 Girls Slaters, Julye Hollings-head Hollings-head and Margie Marshall, gave their reports on the Girls State held at Logan. The Auxiliary sent several dozen cookies to the Salt Lake Veterans Hospital this week. Mr. and Mrs. William Wood, Mr. and Mrs. V.ern Wood and family and Mr. and Mrs. Noel Wood and family attended a Bohman family reunion in Provo Canyon last Saturday and Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Thompson Thomp-son are now living in Grand Junction, Colo. Also Bob and Eetty Bonner, former Minersville Miners-ville residents, recently moved to Grand Junction where they will operate a cafe., Paul and Margene Thompson Thomp-son and Kenna Lou Kent and son Erich, all of Salt Lake, spent the week end at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kelsey and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Thompson. Reed Carter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sheral Carter, is now at home after receiving treatment for back, shoulder and wrist injuries when he was pulled from a horse white chasing wild hcrses south of Ely last Wednesday. Mrs. Bernice Ashley will travel to Salida, Colo., to get acquainted with a new grandson, grand-son, born Aug. 5 to Russell and Janet Horton. Upon her return re-turn she will leave for Romo-land, Romo-land, Cal., where her husband Joe is employed. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Potter have rented the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jameson, formerly occupied by Mrs. Jennie Marquardson. Mrs. Mar-quardson Mar-quardson is in the Senior Citi-sen Citi-sen Center at the Milford Valley Val-ley Memorial Hospital. Wayne and Merle Gillins and boys recently spent several days in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Scofield end friends Mr. and Mrs. Newton New-ton of Portland, Ore., were at the home of Mrs. Scofield's sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Eyre, and the group enjoyed a family get-together in Beaver. Nedra Wunderlich of Mil- . ford and Lori Eyre are spending spend-ing their vacation with Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Wunderlich at Bellflower, Cal., and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Tanner in wKittier, Cal. Mrs. Ruth Dotson and her father, Laban Burt of Milford Valley Memorial Hospital attended at-tended the Burt family reunion last Saturday in the Community Center at Beaver. Kendall Eyre and Mark and Scott Larsen spent Sunday and Monday at the Eyre cabin Out West. Kendall is working on an FHA theme and photographed photo-graphed the cattle pastured in that area. Mrs. Daisy Gillins and son Carl returned Monday from their tour of the Eastern States. Robbie Eyre, son of Gerry and Joanne Eyre, celebrated his-fitlh his-fitlh birthday with a party on Monday, Aug. 5. Robbie recently re-cently caught two large trout at the Minersville Reservoir. Week end visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Delmer Gray were Mr. and Mrs. Kaye Lamb of Henderson, Nev.; Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Gray of Las Vegas, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Gray of Cedar City and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Yardley of South Milford. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Gillins and family left this week for their new home in Rickreal, Ore., where they will operate a dairy farm. Mrs. Vella Stephenson of Salt Lake has purchased the Gillins home. Larry and Karen Maycock were in Salt Lake this week to purchase a mobile home. Mr. Maycock is employed at the K & R Service Station. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Albrecht and children gave the program at church services Sunday evening, eve-ning, relating their experiences in the Congo where Mr. Albrecht Al-brecht taught a church school. |
