Mr. and Mrs. justin Gray of Cedar City recently visited his mother, Mrs. Ilene Gray. Susan Camp, DUP, held their first meeting of the fall season sea-son last Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Ella Wood. Mrs. Wood is captain, Mrs. Virgene Jameson, first vice captain; Mrs. Lucy Williams, secretary. Mrs. Jameson gave the lesson, "They Came in 1868." Mrs. Phyllis Truman entertained enter-tained the Literary Club Wednesday Wed-nesday evening. Mrs. Bernice Gillins reviewed the book "Christy,' by Ann Marshall. Sixteen ladies were present. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Peterson and son Curtis of Salt Lake spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Truman. Mrs. Armina Banks is confined con-fined to the Milford Valley Hospital. O Wednesday evening a steak fry was given for Beaver County 4-H leaders at the Stock Show grounds. Steaks were furnished by the Milford and Beaver Banks. Celebrating birthdays the past week were Michael and Milchell Gillins, 14 year old twin sons of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gillins, who had a party par-ty on Sept. 21; Kerri Woods had a party Sept. 23 at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Noel Wood, e The Bee Hive Girls, Scouts and four chaperones did Temple Tem-ple Work Saturday at St. George. Mr. and Mrs. Ellie Carter of Parowan called on his father, fath-er, Horace Carter, Monday evening. The elder Carter is suffering from pneumonia. Mrs. Madelyn Gale and son Todd of Montebello, Calif., are at the home of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Eyre, and will remain here until after the birth of her baby. Howard Pryor will motor to San Francisco to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pryor in Hollister; his son, David and Afton Pryor and daughter Tom and Joan Makin in San Francisco. Joan will return with her father and stay in Minersville until her husband completes military basic training. 6 Mrs. Gladys Myers has returned re-turned from visiting her son, Mr. and Mrs. Kent Myers and children in Cedar City. Mrs. Lettie Gibson of Monti-cello Monti-cello is here visiting relatives and friends. Visiting Mrs. Albateen Roberts Rob-erts over the week end were her children, Spencer Roberts of Cedar City, and Mr, and Mrs. Jack Roberts and daugh- ' ter of Spanish Fork, I and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Sherwood and family in American Amer-ican Fork. Mrs. Linus Leppink entertain enter-tain for her mother, Mrs. Opal Walker, on her birthday last Thursday. Guests included Theman and Ronnie Walker, Linus, John and Joan Leppink.
