Rev. and Mrs. Jim Sloan, Mrs. Carr Wiseman and Mr. and Mrs. George Bush attended attend-ed a workshop at the First Methodist Church in Ogden Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Elizabeth Martin has been released from the Mil-ford Mil-ford Valley Hospital and is now at home. John and Ella Jean Terry and children of Paul, Idaho, were here to see her mother, Mrs. Ella Parkinson, who is a patient in the Milford Valley Val-ley Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Bames were in Salt Lake over the week end, and Mr. Barnes received re-ceived medical treatment. Mrs. Frances Smithson joined friends for a trip to Salt Lake and Yellowstone Park. Students attending College II of Southern Utah include Tom-! Tom-! my McBride, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Logue, Mrs. Judy Jensen, J'lhn i Kirk, Butch Williams, Doug ' Tait, Bud Barnes, Linda Shields and Linda Moore. Mr. and Mrs. Milford Wil-kensen Wil-kensen left for their home in Henderson, Nev., after spending spend-ing a week with her brother and sister in law, Mr. and Mrs. Elden Burke. Clyde and Lonnie Williams and two children of Salt Lake spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Baxter. Nanette Jones is now settled in Salt Lake, where she is attending at-tending LDS Business College. Mr. and Mrs. Dewayne Williams Wil-liams took their daughter Janna to Provo, to enroll at the BYU. Janna was employed at Tooele Army Depot during the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Baker, Mr. and Mrs. Roldo Turner and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Elliott attended the U. P. Old Timers lOday tour of Old Mexico. Sunday dinner guests at the Max Baxters were Mrs. Jewel Bailey and three children of Moroni, Mrs. Grace Ostler and Mrs. Marale Jackson and daughter of Nephi, all sisters of Mrs. Baxter. Mrs. Sophie Bruno returned home after a two week visit with her son in law and daughter. Bert Ryssman Jr. and son Loren of Long Island, N. Y., visited briefly 'With his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Fred O'Leary, aunt Sophi Bruno of Moroni, and cousins Mr. and Mrs. Max Baxter. Bert is moving mov-ing his family to California. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Harton and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Lamb will attend the Old Timers Tim-ers Convention at Sun Valley, Oct. 6 thru 10th. Mr. Harton is the local president. and Mrs. Lamb is president of the Auxiliary. Wilmer Aagard spent a few days last week with his father, fath-er, Niels Aagard, in Levan. Neils has been on the sick list. Mrs. Leola Aagard and children chil-dren Laura Ann and Grant of Clearfield will spend this week end with her brother in law and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Aagard. Mrs. Neva Kinross spent three weeks with her sister, Richard M. Nixon and Sen. Wallace F. Bennett exchange greetings in Salt Lake City prior to the Republican Presidential Pres-idential candidate's address to 14,000 in the Salt Lake Tabernac'a end on the Temple grounds. Sen. Og-den. Keith and Beverly Erickson are parents of an 8 lb girl, born Sept. 22 in the Beaver Hospital. Mr. Erickson is manager man-ager of the Conoco Station in Milford. They also have a 2 year old daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Merry-weather Merry-weather returned Monday from a two week vacation trip. They spent three days with their son in law and daughter, John and Linda Baldwin, in Croft, N. M., and the two couples motored to San Antonio, Texas to see the Hemisfair, the Alamo Al-amo and other interesting places, and in Houston they visited Dr. and Mrs. Elcan Walker. En route home they attended a Utah Wildlife Federation Fed-eration meeting in Emery County. Dr. and Mrs. L. F. Kohler spent five days in Salt Lake visiting relatives and friends, and Saturday they attended the rodeo in St. George. Last Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Bob Carter took their daughter daugh-ter Elaine to Salt Lake, where she enrolled at LDS Business College. They returned by way of Heber City, Price, and Moab and Hanksville. Mrs. Nelda Tanner of Whit-tier, Whit-tier, Calif., became ill while visiting relatives here and is a patient at the Milford Valley Val-ley Hospital. A Mrs. Gertrude Slinkerd will leave Sunday for Sait Lake to spend a week at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Margaret DeRose. Lucile Smith of Denver will leave Saturday for her home after spending a week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Smith. Barbara Norton and Betty Raines are attending the University Uni-versity of Utah. Max Stewart and Rodny Seears will enroll at Utah State University. Mrs. Tiny McGinty of San Bernardino, Calif., is visiting her brothers in law and sisters, sis-ters, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ricker-son, Ricker-son, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mills and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thompson. Thomp-son. Debra Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Miller, is recuperating from cuts and bruises suffered when she fell through a glass storm door. Kathy Miller has been visiting vis-iting a brother and sister in law, Freddie and Charlotte Miller, in Paradise, Calif., since July. Jackie Price left Wednesday for Denver, Colo., for a week's visit with her fiance, James L. Hoffman Jr., and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Hoffman Sr. Mrs. Dora Walker spent last week in Salt Lake welcoming a new granddaughter, Patricia Ann, born Sept. 14 to Raymond and Nora Ann Vorheis. John Walker and son Jay motored to Salt Lake Sunday to see the newcomer and bring Mrs. Walker home. Mrs. Rowene Winn is in Lo-mita, Lo-mita, Calif., at the home of her daughter, Jolene, receiving receiv-ing medical care. Edward Steers of Albuquerque, Albuquer-que, N. M., visited Mr. and Mrs. Ben Briscoe Sunday. He came to see his aunt, Mrs. Louise Briscoe of Mountain Grove, Mo., who is visiting her son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Briscoe. Mr. Steers and Mrs. Briscoe had not seen each other in 20 years. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Briscoe left Tuesday for Salt Lake, where they will receive medical med-ical attention.
