Ever since the beginning of school, the students stu-dents have been trying to think of a name that would 'be unusual and yet suitable. Finally, Fi-nally, through the efforts of the Student Council, three names were put on a ballot and the students voted on them. Then, at the first basketball bas-ketball pep assembly, the name was revealed in a skit performed per-formed by several Tigerettes. To the tune of "Here She Comes, Miss America," they sang out "Here He Comes, Our Ticrininon." , The Mighty Milford Tigers ,are looking forward to meeting the Enterprise Wolves this Friday at home. Game time is 6:15 for the Junior Varsity and 8 o'clock for the Varsity. An added feature at this game will be a halftime performance by the Tigerettes. Saturday the team will travel to Kanab to battle the Cowboys; Vus will be th.lr first game away from home;. The team has gained experience exper-ience and confidence from their first two games, and they are going out to win these llwo. With their spirit and enthuis-asm, enthuis-asm, I am sure they will. o The Eighth Grade has been busy the past few weeks organizing or-ganizing their assembly and ciance, scheduled for Dec. 13. The assembly, with Sydney Eurbidge and Robert Albrechl emceeing, will feature a dance, a song and piano solo, and a special attraction entitled "If Boys Wore Skirts." The assembly assem-bly will be concluded with a surprise number. Their matinee dance will be held the same day. Music will be provided toy "The Insight," and the price is only 25c per person. The Eighth Graders are hoping that everyone will participate in their dance and make it a success. o It seems like this is an extraordinarily ex-traordinarily busy week for the Seniors. On Tuesday the girls in Home Ec took the Betty Bet-ty Crocker Test which tested them on their general knowledge knowl-edge of Home Ec and their ability to cope with adult problems. prob-lems. The test is designed and given to find the ideal Future Homemaker of America. Most of the Seniors will be traveling to CSU to take the ACT tests this Saturday. The exam covers English, mathematics, mathe-matics, science, and social studies. It shows a student where he stands academically with other students throughout the nation. o Something's been missing around MHS this week Mrs. Kimpau! She will be in Cleve- land, Ohio, the entire week attending at-tending the American Vocational Voca-tional Association convention. ; Mrs. Eimpau is representing the Utah Home Economics Association, As-sociation, of which she is pres; ident. o Some of the organizations at MHS have decided to work together to-gether to finance the building of a concession stand. The stand will be a permanent perma-nent building at the south end of the bleachers. It will be equipped with electricity and running water and will have ample working room for both the FHA and Student Council to sell refreshments at games. Throughout the winter these organizations will be working hard to earn enough money for this project. They hope that the townspeople and the students stu-dents will support them in all |
