Mr. and Mrs. Connell Vest c Salt Lake were here last week end attending to business affairs. Mri Iris Willyard underwent major surgery in the L D S Hospital in Salt -Lake Monday, Jan. 16th. Wednesday her husband, It. C. Willyard, and daughter Mrs. Ilene Gray went to Salt. Lake to bring her home. C T 1c James Marshall, son o Mr.' and ' Mrs. Reece Marshall, is in the States on 30-day leave. Besides visiting his parents in' Milford, he will, spend some time in Pocatello, Idaho. James is a communications communi-cations technician in the U S Navy and has been stationed at Tai Pei, Taiwan, and after his leave will report to Ni-cosa, Ni-cosa, on the Island of Cypress. Kent Smith is expected back in Milford after visiting a son in law and daughter. Grant end Jean Morbey in Bountiful. College students home last week .end ; included Connie Burke o Weber College; Steve Miller, Keith Gillins and Paul Roberts, of the U S U. Paul, a former Milford ' resident, accompanied ac-companied the boys and was a guest at the W. P. Miller home. Last week Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Miller motored to Salt Lake and were accompanied back to Milford by her parents, Mr. and ' Mrs. 'W. L. Hodge, who will visit here for several weeks- Mrs. R.uth. Parrjsh of Palo Altv. Calif., is here with her brother, Joe Ballinger. The W S C S ladies of the Methodist ; Church have set March 10 as the date for their hat, bazaar and bake sale. This year the three will be combined. com-bined. Gary Banks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gale Banks, has been promoted to private first class. . He completed basic training at Camp Handleton, Calif., and is now at El Paro, Calif., prior to leaving fop Vietnam. Mrs. Florence Beard spent last week end in Fillmore with a sister, Mrs. Vernell Christ-opherson. Christ-opherson. C Mr. and Mrs. Jack Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Kirk spent Sunday in Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Davis left two of their children. Laurel and Carney, in Cedar City for the day with their grandmother, Mrs. Lillian Fotheringham. A 1c Kim Fisher and his wife Gloria left the Panama area on Jan. 19th, after a year end a half of duty there. Kim will be stationed at Laredo, Texas. They will visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Veillion in Shreveport, La., en route to their new assignment. Mrs. Leah Murie and two daughters Linda and Colleen of Ophir were here to attend the wedding of Randy Rowley and Kathleen Marshall last Saturday Satur-day evening. Mrs. Murie was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. James Hardy, Linda stayed with Elaine Carter, and Colleen was at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Stewart. Mr. and Mrs. David Pullem and four children of Salt Lake were here last week visiting Mrs. Leah Pullem. Mrs. Beatrice Oxley and Amanda spent last week in Nephi visiting relatives. 9 Joyce Yount, who has been attending Westminster College, is now at, home and will enroll at the University of Utah in March. Linda Roberts, Gary Tomsik, Hal Edwards, Linda and Laura Sherwood, and Mike Taylor BYU students, are all at home between semesters. Joan Edwards Ed-wards will enroll at the BYU I for the coming semester. Mrs. Patsy Smith of Ogden is here preparing the Smith house for rental. ft Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Mayer and daughter Sandi returned Sunday from Bakersfield and Riverside, Calif. Mr. Mayer was on a business trip and they visited friends and relatives en route. ft Danny Wright, who is serving serv-ing with the U S Navy in Vietnam, Viet-nam, has been promoted to E 3. He recently spent nine days at Subic in the Philippine Islands. Mr. and Mrs Fred Wright and children of Cedar City were in Milford Sunday visiting visit-ing Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Bur-bidge, Bur-bidge, Mrs. Nora Wright, and Mr. and Mrs. Lorraine Gillins. Mrs. LaPrele Lewis, Mrs. Bertha Cottrell, Mrs. Neva Kinross Kin-ross and Mrs. Nora Wright were in Beaver Sunday visiting relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carter and Mr. and Mrs. Lovell Crane are spending a week in Phoenix, Phoe-nix, Ariz., attending the horse races. ft Mr. and Mrs. Dan Ferguson are in Salt Lake, where Mrs. Ferguson is receiving medical treatment. Mrs. Eliza Hardy is in the northern part of the state visiting vis-iting her children. C Mr. and Mrs. James Hardy spent Saturday in Enterprise visiting her father, Walter Bowler. Mrs. Amanda Nolder of Min-ersville Min-ersville is spending a week with her daughter, Patricia Williams. |
