Show THIS WEEK IN MINERSVILLE As Reportexl By GWEN PRYOR Visiting Mrs. Lucy Williams over the Mother's Day week end were her son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Don Heslington and three sons of Bountiful, and Mr. and Mrs, Franklin D. Williams of Las Vegas. They all had Mothers Day dinner at the home of another an-other daughter, Anna Rae and Max Carter. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Al-fred Heslington also had dinner din-ner with them. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Banks and family of Salt Lake were week end visitors at the home of his mother, Mrs. Armina Banks. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Limb and family of Beaver visited Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Jameson on Mother's Day. James Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Davis, celebrated his 8th birthday with a party on Monday, May 9. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Thompson Thomp-son of Salt Lake spent several days here last week visiting their son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Thompson, and other relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Marshall have returned home from Denver, Den-ver, Colo., where they were with their son Chris while he underwent major eye surgery. Chris is still hospitalized in Denver and his mother will rejoin re-join him soon. They report the eye operation as being successful and everything looked look-ed well when they left him. Mr. and Mrs. Wade Hodge and family of Tooele visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pryor, over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pryor, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Pryor, Joan and Gaye, and Mr. and Mrs. Hodge and family motored to Ely Sunday to spend the day with Mr. and Mrs. Byron Limb and Sheri. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Sheral Carter on Mother's Day were Mr. and Mrs. Allen Carter and daughters of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Carter and daughters and Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Roberts and family of Beaver, and Karen Carter of Olympia, Wash. Mrs. Orella Hammond of Pioche visited her brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Gray, on Thursday, May 5th. Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Murdock of Cedar City visited in town Friday of last week. A wedding reception honoring hon-oring Marilyn Williams, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. John Williams, Wil-liams, and Ralph Walbeck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Walbeck Wal-beck of Beaver, was held in the Minersville Ward Recreation Recrea-tion Hall on May 6th. Minersville students on the CSU Honor Roll for winter quarter are Richard Limb, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Limb, and Royal Vance Wood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wood, e Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Miles of Whittier, Calif., spent the week end with her parents, Rachel and Rulon Eyre. Rachel returned re-turned to California with her daughter to recuperate from a recent illness. Lisa Eyre, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Jer-ry Eyre, also joined them in California. They plan to return re-turn home for Memorial Day. Mr. and Mrs. Mart Davis are vacationing in California visiting visit-ing their children. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Munk and sons and Mr. and Mrs. Doug Thomas Thom-as and children. They will return re-turn home this week. t Mr. and Mrs. Louis Griffiths of Salt Lake have purchased the Ray and Netta Goodwin home in the east part of town. Mr.. Griffiths has retired and they plan to make their home in Minersville. |
