Show NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed proposals will be received re-ceived by the State Road Commission Com-mission of Utah, Room 608 State Office Building, Salt Lake City, Utah, until 2 o'clock p. m. Tuesday, May 31, 19G6, and at that time publicly opened for construction of a Road Mixed Bituminous Surfaced Roadway and Seal Coating in Beaver County, the same being that section of State Road No. 21 from the Minersville Reservoir Reser-voir Northwesterly 12.1-plus Miles toward Milford and on State Road No. 130 from Minersville Min-ersville to State Road No. 21 identified as Federal Aid Secondary Sec-ondary Project Nos. S-0352(5), S-0352(7) and S-0338(2). The length of road to be constructed con-structed or improved is 12.549 miles, and the principal items of work are approximately as follows: 1560 Tons of Bituminous Bitumi-nous Material, 54,700 Tons of Untreated Base Course, 225,000 Cu. Yds. of Unclassified Roadway Road-way Excavation and 22,200 Tons of Gravel Surface, Type "A" or Type "B." The project is to be completed complet-ed in 100 working days. Prequalification of bidders is required. Prior to any bidder's receiving plans and specifications, specifica-tions, it will be necessary that the bidder have on file with the State Road Commission of Utah completed and approved, the required Prequalification Statement pertaining to contractor's con-tractor's experience and financial finan-cial condition. The attention of bidders is directed to the Special Provisions Provi-sions covering subletting or assigning as-signing the contract . Not less than the general prevailing wage rates as determined de-termined by the Industrial Commission of Utah, effective August 21, 1963, shall be paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics employed on - this project. The attention of bidders is directed to the fact that this Commission has been advised by the Wage and Hour Division, Divi-sion, U. S. Department of Labor, La-bor, that contractors engaged in highway construction work are required to meet the provisions pro-visions of the Fair Labor Standards Stan-dards Act of 1938, (52 Stat. 1060). The State Highway Department, Depart-ment, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252) and the Regulations of the Department of Commerce Com-merce (15 C.F.R., Part 8), issued is-sued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that the contract entered into pursuant pur-suant to this advertisement will be awarded to the lowest responsible re-sponsible bidder without discrimination dis-crimination on the ground of race, color, or national origin. Proposal forms, plans, cross sections and specifications are on file in the office of the State Road Commission, Salt Lake City, and the office of its District Engineer at Cedar City, Utah, where they may be reviewed by prospective bidders. bid-ders. Specifications, proposal forms, and plans may be obr tained at the Commission Offices Of-fices at Salt Lake City, upon application and payment of a fee of $5.00, no part of which will be refunded. Each bidder must submit a letter from an approved surety company guaranteeing guar-anteeing to furnish said bidder with required bond. The right to reject any or all bids is reserved. Cash, certified check, cashier's cash-ier's check, or approved proposal pro-posal guarantee bond for not less than five per cent of total to-tal amount of bid made payable to the State Road Commission must accompany each bid as evidence of good faith and a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will execute exe-cute the contract and furnsih contract bond as required.
