Show As Written by THE JOURNALISM CLASS OF MILFORD HIGH SCHOOL Mrs. Mary McCulley, Instructor VOCATIONAL DAT The business classes at Mil-ford Mil-ford High School sent the best qualified students they had to CSU to Vocational Day last i Saturday. Those attending were: Shorthand I Connie Jones, Jerry Price, Carol Roberts, Mary Myers and Sue Roberts. Shorthand II Vickie Grim-shaw, Grim-shaw, Paula Johnson, Joan Edwards and Connie Burke. Type I Nannette Jones, Lee Banks, Linda Moore and Sue Ann Banks. Type II Vickie Lamb, Carol Roberts, Vickie Grimshaw, Paula Johnson and Virginia Bailey. Results will be known in about two weeks. In the Industrial Arts department, de-partment, Ron Walker, Kathy Miller and David Jones received re-ceived "first" ratings. Receiving "second" ratings were John Horton, Scott Barnes, Jeff White, Jeff Edwards Ed-wards and Rick Bird. Rodney Nichols, David Wright, Larry Barnes and Mary Ann Leppink received "third" ratings. Projects of the above students stu-dents are on display in the middle hall. ANTI-BOOZE PAMPHLETS Last week the students were given a small pamphlet in home room dealing with teenage teen-age drinking. The pamphlet stressed the importance of a good record when entering college or the armed forces. It stated that teen-age drinking drink-ing can lead to an undesirable life. The students interestingly interesting-ly read the information and found at the bottom of the last page: "Published by the United Unit-ed States Brewers Foundation." WHO OWNS A RABBIT? Mr. Myers 5th period Physiology Phys-iology class was asked Monday if they would donate money to help buy a rabbit. The class plans to dissect the animal and study its anatomy. anat-omy. Previously, they have dissected a calf heart. BLAINE ROBERTS TAKES FIRST Blanie Roberts was the 'only Milford athlete to place in the track competition at the Snow College Invitational last Saturday. Sat-urday. He received a medal for taking first place in the javelin throw. MODEL U N The representatives to the Model Union Nations will be in Salt Lake Friday and Saturday Sat-urday attending the sessions of the annual Model U N Assembly. Assem-bly. The 14 Milford students (will represent Burma, and will hold five seats in the Security Council. |
