Show DEAD LINE NEAR FOR COAST GUARD TRIALS Eligible young men are reminded re-minded that Dec. 5 is the deadline dead-line for submitting applications to compete for appointment as Cadet, United States Coast Guard. The 89th annual competition, for admission to the U S Coast Guard Academy at New London, Conn., will commence with the Dec. 5 administration of the College Entrance Examination Ex-amination Board Tests. Appointments Ap-pointments are made solely on a competitive basis, with no Congressional appointments or geographical quotas. An applicant must be an unmarried un-married high school senior or graduate who has reached his 17th but not his 22nd birthday by July 1, 1965. Applicants must have earned 15 units by June 30, 1965, including the following units: Three in English, Eng-lish, two in Algebra, and one in Plane Geometry. Appicants must be in excellent physical condition, between 64 and 78 inches in height, with propor-tunate propor-tunate weight, and have at least 2030 vision in each eye, correctable to 2020. Additional information and application forms may be obtained ob-tained from high school guidance guid-ance counselors. |
