Show 'FLIGHT SUNDAY' TO SWELL HOSPITAL FUND Air-minded Milford residents will enjoy scenic flights over the city and at the same time help to pay for furnishing a room at the new Milford Hospital. Hos-pital. Judy Briscoe is proposing a "Flight Sunday" for October 11, with five Milford-based planes taking passengers for rides over the city, at a fee of one cent per pound. All proceeds pro-ceeds will be added to the room-furnishing fund of the Milford Valley Memorial Hospital Hos-pital Association, which will operate the new hospital expected ex-pected to be completed early in 1965. "Plans are still tentative," Mrs. Briscoe said, "but we are assured of the cooperation of local pilots, and the Legion Auxiliary, sponsors of the activity, ac-tivity, will sell chiliburgers, coffee, soft drinks, etc. We hope to raise enough money by these lc-per-pound flights to fully equip one room of the new hospital." Plane owners invited to participate par-ticipate include Ben Briscoe, Russel Mayer, Don Burnett, Dr. E. N. Davie, and Don Mayer. |
