Show HOSPITAL GRANTS' THREE $1500 SCHOLARSHIPS Three Beaver County Hospital Hos-pital nursing scholarships have been authorized by the Board of Directors of the hospital, according to Mrs. Jacqueline Williams, hospital superintnedent. Each of the scholarships is for $1500 and may be used at the School of the recipient's choice, over either a three-year or four-year training course. Recipients must remain single until they have completed their schooling, and must agree to work at the Beaver County Hospital, at established graduate gradu-ate nurse salary, for two years after graduation. "Usually the Board of Directors Di-rectors offers one scholarship annually," Mrs. William said, "but this year they felt that the three girls had qualifications qualifica-tions so excellent that no choice could be made between them, so all three will receive scholarships." In 1962 the hospital granted two scholarships. Recipients of the 1964 scholarships are Fawn Soren-son, Soren-son, Mendon, graduating from South Cache High School; Cherie Linda Chad- burn, Pioche, Nev., graduating graduat-ing from Lincoln County High and a niece of Mrs. Dawn Miller of Milford; and Jackie Dalton of Richfield, graduating from Richfield High School. "We feel that it is quite an achievement for such a small hospital to grant three $1500 scholarships in one year," Mrs. Williams said. |
