Show MINERSVILLE STARTS PLANS FOR '64 STOCK SHOW The Beaver County Livestock Show committee and county commissioners met in Miners-ville Miners-ville last week to make plans for the 1964 show. Data of tha shew was set for Saturday, May 23rd. The county commissioners pledged their full support of the show and agreed to cooperate coop-erate in every way in the improvement im-provement of the show grounds. They also doubled the amount of money set up for the show in their 1964 budget. Show officers were reelected and committee members were reappointed with a few changes. chang-es. Ralph Pearson is show president, Jule Gillins, secretary, secre-tary, and Wells Farrer, manager. man-ager. The building and grounds committee met at the show grounds Thursday to make plans for some rather extensive improvements. There will be a building for serving food, gravel on all roadways, corrals and show ring, fencing, and a cattleguard to keep the cattle out, improvement of corrals, extension of water system and general appearance of the grounds. Possibility of installing install-ing lights is being investigated, as the area is used extensively for picnics. The show grounds are located locat-ed in the mouth of the canyon east of Minersville, and the committee feels that this can become one of the outstanding small shows in the state.
