The two couples were enroute to California and the world's fair in Seattle, Washington. $ Mrs. Marvin Horton and four children returned recently from a month trip to the northwestern northwest-ern states. Their stops along the way were at Portland, Ore., where they were guests of an aunt, while, there they attended at-tended the annual Rose Festival Fes-tival in Portland. The family attended the World's Fair and at Bremington, Canada, they were at the home of another aunt. Mrs. Hilda Nolan, of Cedar City is at the home of a son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. B: J. Roberts. Mr. Roberts Rob-erts is Union Pacific trainmaster trainmas-ter at Milford. Mr. and Mrs. John Grim-shaw Grim-shaw and two children of Bountiful were in Milford this week. Mr. and Mrs. Armon Whiting Whit-ing are in Manti for a week's visit with relatives, a Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Barton have moved to Caliente, Nev. ' Mr. and Mrs. Raeldon Bau-dino Bau-dino have moved into the home formerly occupied by Mr. and Leo Harton. Last week in reporting Milford sponsors of Girls State Delegates, we inadvertently omitted the Milford Lady Lions. We reported the year of the deatli of Mr. Beard as 1924. when it should have been 1944. O Seven year old Susan Mathe-son Mathe-son of Cedar City spent a week at the home of an uncle and aunt. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wright and children. An 8V2 lb daughter was born June 28, in Salt Lake City, to Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Barnes. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Skillicorn and Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Barnes. OvMrs. sneila Brinkman and babies of Salt Lake have been in Milford at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Conner. Mrs. Cooper accompanied accompa-nied her back to the Capitol City, and later Mr. Cooper joined them for a few days' visit. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Miller of Bountiful were in Milford for a few days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Elmer. The Elmers are now in Bountiful and will remain until Friday. 0 Mrs. Tillie Rae Dixon plans to take her vacation on July 18th. She will meet her son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn McDaniels. and others at Oakland, Oak-land, Calif., and they will enjoy en-joy a trip to Northern California Cali-fornia and Oregon, and also will take in the World's Fair at Seattle. O Mrs. Maude Sftoker is now in Springville with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jones and family, e Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Hawkins Hawk-ins and two children, Robin and Brian of Granada Hills, Calif., have been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Banks. Also at the Banks home was their son Ronnie of Las Vegas. , ' Mrs. Marva Connell and Mrs. Wanda Holm will leave Thursday for a 10-day vacation vaca-tion trip to the Northwestern States. They plan to stop at the home of Otto and Hazel Steenbock in Baker, Ore.; a brother of Mrs. Council's at Ryderwood, Wash.; at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Jones in Culverdale, Canada, and tour places of interest in Canada before returnnig home. Donald Glenn returned to Milford last Saturday after attending an A T & T school in Detroit for two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Glenn and three children of Kearns have been in Milford at the home of his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Glenn. The family also spent a few days in the Beaver Mountains. Visitors at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Lloyd Kohler were their son Ned, who is employed em-ployed at Zion National Park, and his girl friend, Miss Florence Flor-ence Inglestead of Cedar City. e Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Killam and daughter Kristen motored to Idaho Falls, Idaho, where -'"-v wsre house guests of Mrs Killam's sister and family, Mr. and' Mrs. Jason Ashwortn. On their return home another daughter. Kathy, accompanied them after vacationing with relatives in Idaho. O Mr. and Mrs. John Wilcock were baby tenders for their grandchildren, children of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Griffiths of Murray. The Griffith's attended at-tended a Jaycee convention in Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Aagard and two children were in Milford Mil-ford at the home of parents Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Aagard and Mr. and Mrs. Steve In-man. In-man. The Aagards will soon move into their new hom& at Granger, near Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Luther Hardy were in Parowan at the home of their son in law and daughter, daugh-ter, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Heap. The Hardys brought their grandson to Milford for a vacation. va-cation. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Murdock and sons of Orem were in Milford Mil-ford at the home of his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph R. Murdock. The senior Mur-docks Mur-docks cared for their grandchildren grand-children while Joe and LaRae attended the Jaycee Convention Conven-tion in Las Vegas. David, their oldest son, will remain in Milford for the remainder of the summer. 0 Mr. and Mrs. John P. Spacer and son Bill of Albuquerque, Albu-querque, New Mexico, are in Milford, house guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Hendrickson. Mr. Spacer will return to his home Sunday and Mrs. Spacer and son will remain re-main for a longer visit. |
