Show Sarah Beard Dies At Age of 72 ' Mrs. Sarah Dailey Beard, 72, Milford resident for many years, died Tuesday, June 26, of causes incident to age. Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted Friday, June 29, at 1 p. m. in the LDS Chapel. Mrs. Beard was born July 10, 1889, in Alpine, Apache County, Coun-ty, Arizona, to Milton and Mary Magdalene Wilson Dailey. She attended school at Mt. Carmel and Paragonah, and came to Milford as housekeeper housekeep-er for Thomas Beard, and to care for his three young children chil-dren after the death of Mr. Beard's first wife. She married Thomas Beard March 24, 1920, in the St. George Tmple. Mr. Beard died April 9, 1924. Surviving are four sons, Merritt Beard, Earl Beard and Glen Beard, Milford, and Marion Mar-ion Beard, New York City; a step-daughter, Mrs. Lena Dove, Salt Lake City; two step-sons, Simon H. Beard, Bountiful, and Leland J. Beard, Milford; six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Belle Francis, Los Angeles; and a brother, .Milton Dailey, Porowan. Friends may call at the Southern Utah Mortuary from 7 to 9 p. m. Thursday, and Friday morning from 11 a. m. until time for services. Burial will be in the Milford City Cemetery. |
