Show TIGERS WIN FIRST GAME, LOSE OUT IN STATE MEET Milford's Tigers came from behind to win the first game of the Class B basketball tournament at Provo last week, dropped their second game to the state champs, American Fork, then were eliminated after their second loss, on Friday, to North Sanpete. Thursday, they played without with-out the services of Mel Wadsworth, leading scorer for Region 10, who injured an ankle in the opening round. Mel played in the Friday game, but was handicapped handi-capped by the injury. The Tigers played the Forkers on even terms until the final period, when the new state champs went out in front by 10 points. Marshall was the big gun on offense, hitting 18 to match Driggs, high scorer for American Fork. Fowles had 11 and Nichols 6. In the North Sanpete game Friday evening, Wadsworth hit for 18 points and Fowles for 12. The Tigers and coaches were feted at a banquet at the Provo Country Club on Thursday evening following the American Fork game, with J. L. McBride of Mil-ford's Mil-ford's "Mac's Diner" as their host.
