Show Schools of Beaver County Plan Participation in Model U N Sessions The seventh annual Model United Nations Assembly will get under way at the Uni-verstity Uni-verstity of Utah Friday, April 14, and will continue through the afternoon of Saturday, April ' f A. ! i Dr. Ray It. Moi,2 than 2,000 students from 75 Utah high schools will participate in the mock session s of the United Nations General Assembly. The purpose cf the i Model U.N. program is to stimulate student interest in government and world affairs. The two-day event is sponsored by the Utah Association for the United Nations and the University Univer-sity of Utah Extension Division. The opening session will include in-clude the procession of flags, and remarks from Governor George D. Clyde, University Y President A. Ray Olpin, and Dr. Frank Porter Graham. After roll call and statements state-ments from tfie various countries, the agenda for Friday will include: in-clude: press conferences, com- u mittee meetings and council . meetings involving the Security Council, Economic and Social Council, Ad Hoc Commission of Africa, and Political Committees i. of the General Assembly. A social program held in the Union Ballroom will conclude the events of the first day.. Saturday's agenda will include in-clude a session of the General Assembly, reports from the K. various committees and councils, and will end with a critique and closing Remarks from the assembly's president and moderator, moder-ator, Dr. J.D.
