Show 132 Persons Join S C S Tour of County Beaver County was the locale Friday of last week for the annual tour of the Soil Conservation So-city So-city of America and the tour and the manner in which it was conducted con-ducted brought forth many favorable favor-able comments from members of the group, all of whom appeared to have enjoyed themselves. A crowd of 132 people gathered in Beaver that morning to participate parti-cipate in the tour, which was hosted by Beaver County's two Soil Conservation Districts and conducted by Kenneth L. Williams, Beaver Unit Conservationist. The group spent the morning at the Russell Mayer ranch near Milford. Here, State Engineer Wayne D.Criddle discussed adjusting adjust-ing water use to the supply. Also, Lyman Willardson, from the Agricultural Agri-cultural Research Service, discussed discuss-ed irrigation efficiency and water use. Following lunch, the group proceeded pro-ceeded to the North Creek Bench Range clearing and seeding project. proj-ect. Here, Nels Bogh of the Bureau Bu-reau of Land Management discussed dis-cussed the project. ' Next, the group went to the Beaver Bea-ver Table Area, where the Utah Department of Fish and Game has done considerable clearing to provide pro-vide better spring and fall range i for deer. Othello Riley, local representative rep-resentative of the department, explained ex-plained the purpose of the project.
