Show No Action Taken on Beaver Request for County Hospital Funds The Beaver County Board of Commissioners met in adjourned session Friday of last week for the purpose of passing on the 1960 county budget and to consider other matters postponed from their December 5 meeting. All members were present. The question of making an appropriation ap-propriation . toward construction of hospitals in Beaver and Milford again was discussed at length. Chairman H. L. Tolley and Commissioner Com-missioner Howard Pryor spoke against making any appropriation at this time and no official action was taken or appropriation made. The matter of passing on the 1960 county budget was taken up and discussed, including the matter mat-ter of employing a special deputy assessor to check on personal property. prop-erty. It was moved by Commissioner Commis-sioner Ray Easton, seconded by Commissioner Pryor, and passed unanimously that $500 be included in the budget to employ such a special deputy. It was moved by Commissioner Easton, seconded by Commissioner Pryor and passed unanimously, that the amount set in the proposed budget for courthouse maintenance mainten-ance be increased from $2000 to $6000. It was moved by Commissioner Pryor, seconded by Commissioner Easton, and passed unanimously that the proposed budget for 1960, as amended, be adopted. |
