Show Henager Official Speaks in Schools The Mountain West is in the midst of its greatest peacetime growth in history, and indications are that the growth will accelerate. With it has come an unprecedented unprecedent-ed demand for trained office personnel. per-sonnel. That was the observation of George H. "Utah, for example, in the ten years following World War II has shown the third highest rate of growth in manufacturing indu-tries indu-tries among the 48 states," Mr. Maxwell said. "Utah's gain was 2V2 times that of the nation as a whole. On a regional basis, the Mountain States led the nation in industrial growth with 167, followed closely close-ly by the Pacific States with 150" Mr. Maxwell urged high school students to complete their schooling school-ing rather than to quit and take an unskilled job for quick money. "Many a youth has finished up in a dead-end, with a dull, routine job and poor pay for many years because be-cause of such a choice," he said. |
