Show Hospital Official Explains Memorial Building Fund A great number of inquiries about the Hospital Memorial Building Build-ing Fund have come to our attention atten-tion recently. Here are a few statements of fact that may help to clear up questions. Money contributed to the Beaver Beav-er County Hospital Building Fund through the memorial plan is placed in a separate savings account ac-count to be used for building purposes pur-poses only. No part of it is used for operational expenses of the hospital. A careful record is kept of all contributions; the donor and the person memorialized. Money contributed to the memorial fund is never applied to the hospital bill of the memorialized person or any member of his family. The amount of the contribution is unimportant. The memorial is usually in lieu of a floral offering and no more need be spent. The procedure of making a memorial me-morial contribution is simple. A check payable to the Beaver County Coun-ty Hospital Building Fund or cash along with the name of the donor and the name of the memorialized may be either mailed or delivered in person to the hospital. Or a phone call to notify the hospital of your intention to give will speed the cards on their way and you may send the money along later. When the hospital is notified of the gift a printed card stating the name of the donor and the name of the memorialized is sent to the bereaved family and a card acknowledging ack-nowledging the gift is mailed to the donor. All memorial fund gifts are tax deductible, so keep a record for your income tax report. Anyone having further questions is invited to call the hospital for information.
