Show Cedar City Radio Group Asks Beaver TV 'Cooperation' A representative oi the Beehive Bee-hive Telecasting Corp., new owners of Radio Station KSUB at Cedar City, Wednesday met .villi B'-aver, Minersville and Mii ford television enthusiasts and civic and political leaders of the county, in an effort to obtain assurance of their cooperation coop-eration in bringing commercial television o Beaver County. The proposals met a cool reception. re-ception. S. B. INessley, president of the Bejhive company, and L. Sayre, general manager, explained ex-plained that the Beehive company com-pany plans to broadcast over Channel 11 from Cedar City, using CBS network programs which will enter Cedar City by closed cable. They expect to cover Beaver and part of Millard Mil-lard counties on the north, and soulh possibly as far as St. George. Local advertising would be solicited, and some local programs as well as the local commercials would be broadcast. broad-cast. . The proposed ' station would not be in operation until the fall of 1958. Mr. Nessley stated that his company would "fight all boosters" boost-ers" but softened his attitude when he met forceful opposition opposi-tion from Beaver's Mayor S.
