Weber State University's homecoming dance is on Friday, which means sweaty palms, Hawaiian punch, and a disco ball. But for some, it's been years since they went to a dance. Others can't even remember what they are supposed to wear, let alone how to do the robot. WSU Alumni Wayne Wadman said that in 1970 he would have worn slacks, a dress shirt, a sport coat and tie to the homecoming dance. He also said they took every dance seriously when he went to WSU. "Everyone dressed up and everyone looked great," he said. Homecoming was, as it is today, semi-formal. Ana Velasquez, the WSU campus activities director said, "Basically, it's semi-formal.
