May News editor of The Signpost Members of the Weber State Math Department feel that a petition protesting a 70 percent failure rate for Math 105 is based on misinformation, making the course seem much more difficult to pass than it really is. Ogden welcomes troops in grand style By Joyce Zabriskie Senior reporter of The Sgnpost Fireworks in the Dee Events Center welcomed home the men and women who served in the Persian Gulf as part of an Ogden Memorial Day celebration. Mayor Scott Sneddon welcomed Governor and Mrs. Norman Bangerter, Senator and Mrs. Orrin Hatch, Congressman and Mrs. Jim Hansen and Congressman Bill Orton to Operation Desert Salute. In a telephoned message from President George Bush, he said, "This will be the scene of your celebration. All of the waiting is over. I wish I was with you." Bush asked the audience to stop and think about the men and women of Des ert Storm. "Remember every veteran who has served, let today be a homecoming for all vets. Welcome home," he said. Sneddon said that he was grateful to the troops, their families and the people who stayed home and offered their support to those serving in the Persian Gulf.
