One of the best ways to accomplish this is through dance. This summer, the Weber State College Division of Continuing Education will be holding a summer dance clinic featuring dance instructor Jacque Lynn Bell. Different types of dance will be taught for people of all ages. The classes start June 11 and run through July 12. Those classes that are available are: Creative Dance Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 until 10 a.m. (For 3-5 years of age). Creative Dance Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 until 11 a.m. (For 6-7 years of age). Intermediate Modern -Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Beginning Ballet Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 until 5 p.m. Beginning Modern Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 until 6 p.m. Beginning Jazz Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 until 7 p.m. Intermediate Ballet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 until 10:15 a.m. Intermediate Jazz Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:15 until 11:30 a.m. Creative Dance Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. (For 8-10 years of age). Bell will be teaching a dance workshop Signpost photoGrove Pashley in the summer for people of all ages and all levels of .dance. Classes begin June 11. The classess will be taught in the dance studio of the Swenson Gym and will cost $30 for creative dance and beginning classes and $35 for intermediate dance classes. The classes will be taught by Bell who has taught throughout the U.S. as a Movement Specialist for the National Endowment for the Arts. She also taught and choreographed for the Virginia Tanner Dance Studio for several years. Bell has a M.F.A. in dance from the University of Utah and has received recognition for her recent teaching, performing and choreography in New York City. To Bell, dance is for everyone. "Dance is one of the best ways to get and keep in shape," said Bell. "It's a wonderful form of expression. Dance is about awareness a unifying experience. Dance is for everyone, not just for dancers or for those that are physically inclinded, but especially for those who are not because its such a wonderful way to become aware of yourself. It's fun, invigorating, and it opens up a part of people's worlds that is only found through dance." Bell has been dancing since before she was three, when she was invloved in the Virginia Tanner School of Creative Dance. "I really love it," said Bell.
