Show entertainment SIGNPOST May 21. 1982 Page 5 Park City Cowboy Bar announces new talent The Park City Cowboy Bar and Restaurant at the top of historic Main Street in Park City, presents its weekly schedule: live dance music every Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights; Happy Hour Thursday nights at half-price cover for locals and ladies free. On Sunday May 23 at 7 and 10 p.m. country singer Con Hunley will be featured with such titles as Weekend Friend, You've Still Got a Place in my Heart, Since 1 Fell For You, What's New With You, and She's Stepping Out. His recently released Warner Brothers LP Ask Any Woman contains his strongest performance ever and promises to place him in the front ranks of country song stylists. Prices are $6 in advance and $8 at the door. Montana (formerly Mission Mountain Wood Band) is the Friday and Saturday night offering, May 28&29 at 8 and 11 p.m. Prices are $6 in advance and $8 at the door. Caribbean and West African). Prices are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Bolivians present art exhibit The work of four Bolivian artists will be featured at the Glendining Gallery beginning May 24. The "Bolivian Partners Exhibit," which will be on display through June 4, offers a selection of 20 oils, graphics and three-dimensional works representative of artists Cesar Jordan, Gustaiva Lara Torres, Raul Lara and Rudy Ayoroa. The Glendining Gallery is located in the offices of the Utah Arts Council, 617 East S. Temple in Salt Lake City. The influence of South American as well as Spanish culture is apparent in the works of these four artists. Many include overtones from the ancient Inca civilization; others depict the essence of contemporary day-to-day life in Bolivia. The exhibit spans the spectrum with everythingfrom geographical design to realism. The Gallery is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, r-or additional information, contact the Utah Arts Council at 533-5895. Festival seeks artists Applications are now available for performing artists in the 1982 Park City Art Festival. The application deadline is June 15. According to Festival Director Sean Toomey. "The Festival Office is interested in single, duo and ensemble performers. This year, performances will be held simultaneously on two stages." This year's Festival will be held August 7 and 8. All performers interested in applying should contact the Festival Office at P.O. Box 1880 Park City, Utah 84060, or by calling 649-8882. Festival Office hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Musical performers will be asked to submit cassette tapes as part of their application. Ayn Rand presented Two performances of Ayn Rand's "The Night of January 16th" will be presented May 21 and 22 at 8 p.m. in the auditorium of the Utah State Prison. Co-sponsored by the Utah Arts Council and the Utah State Prison and directed by Richard Jewkes, performances will be open to the general public ages 18 and over. General admission tickets priced at $2.00 will be on sale at the door each evening beginning at 7:30 p.m. The public is play to be at State Prison requested to place advance reservations with the Utah Arts Council by phoning 533-5895 Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. "The night of January 16th," Ayn Rand's only play, is a courtroom drama that investigates our criminal justice system. The cast, which will be comprised of inmates from the prison's medium security facility, play specific character roles in the drama; members of the audience will be selected to play the jurors. Director Richard Jewkes declines to divulge further details at this point, desiring to surprise the audience and maintain the spontaneity of their response. He does state: "What is interesting is that the cast members have all been through the process of our criminal justice system.
