Show OVKUTOX, NEVADA. Several farmers have their fall grain in, others are putting it in as fast as possible. After many breakdowns our threshing thresh-ing machine is laid by for the season, leaving-1. S. Angel's grain unthreshed. J. J. Jones' molasses mill has been running the past two weeks making a first-class article, and it will continue to run about three weeks longer. We learn that the White Hills mines are closed down as the ore bodies are giving out. D. J. Cox and William Perkins have returned from there. A line baby-boy came to make the home of Bri.gham Whitmore happy last week. It has been quite sick, but is quite well now and all are doing nicely. It has been so dry the past summer that there is no feed for stock on the range the coming winter, and many will die unless moved to some other range. The Young Ladies Mutual is doing nicely now. The Young Mens Mutual is also progressing with Alvile Carl as president and John Perkins and Jessie Cooper as counselors, Sister Susan Johnson and son, Thomas, Thom-as, took M. D. Cooper and Crayton Johnson to Milford, and have been gone about a week. The two young men are going to the Southwestern states on missions. Muddy, Overton, Nevada. November (1, ists. |
