Miles is about to have a new brick harness shop erected on 2d North St., the excavation for the cellar and foundation having been made. George O. Walker, the local manager for the St. George Copper Mining- Co., has been under the Weather the past few days, but is now on the improve. George Woodward has been confined con-fined to the house by sickness for about a month, and shows no improvement. His many friends hope to hear of improvement im-provement soon. ESTRAYS FOUND. W. E. Wood writes from Washington that he has located the horses of Lloyd Bros., recently advertised in this paper. We know not Lloyd Bros, address or would notify them. Brown returned from Salt Lake City Monday, bringing with him Mrs. John Foote, of Salt Lake City and Mrs. George Bodle, of Price, Emery county, who have come to visit their sister, Mrs. Don C. Price, who is very ill. Frank Hardy, the little son of E. V. Hardy, sustained a severe fracture of the elbow joint on Tuesday evening, by fulling from a bicycle. A number of friends of Sheriff Brooks and wife gathered at the family residence resid-ence Tuesday, the occasion being the Sheriff's fifty-fourth birthday. A very pleasant time was spent, and thehappy smile on the face of the sheriil was proof that his fifty-four years weigh lightly with him. Many happy returns. The home of Bishop Thos. Judd and wife was invaded by a party of their friends Wednesday night, the invasion being a complete surprise. The evening eve-ning was spent as is usual in such cases, all enjoying themselves to the utmost. Bp. Judd and family left for White River yesterday, accompanied by Charles Larson, who will stay out there this summer. Messrs. Joseph and Samuel Judd came up from Lund on business last Tuesday. The former has been ottered the position of superintendent of construction con-struction of the new buildings of the State University of Utuh. and will leave in a few days for Suit Luke City. Mr. Judd occupied a similar position in connection with the Sultair puvilliou and the Salt Palace, and has had a wide experience in thai lir.o of work. , White Pine News. |
