Show CITY COUNCIL. Regular session met March 3, 1900, the following being present: Mayor Cottam, Crs. Woodbury, Cottam, Morris, Mor-ris, and Jarvis. The minutes of the previous session were read and approved Petitions of F. L. Daggett and Richard Rich-ard Bentloy to lay water pipes granted. William A. Hardy was granted lease of water power on payment of 815 in labor. A Board of Health was appointed, Dr. F. Clift the executive officer, with Mayor Cottam and Cr. Morris members. The Recorder was employed to revise the City Ordinances, a report to be submitted later. The Quarantine Physician reported that the health of the people generally was good, no contagious diseases were prevalent in the city. The water assessment roll as it now stands was declared the official roll of the city for the year 1900. Cr. Woodbury moved that the Com. on W. & W. Rights, with watermaster associate, take into consideration the matter of the distribution of Cottonwood Cotton-wood water, and if thought advisable to distribute said water among the owners thereof. He also moved that the Council meet in a body at 8 a. m. on Saturday the 19th inst. and proceed to examine the most leasable routes for bringing- Cottonwood water into the City. |
