Show MOM TEXAS. Elder A. L. Westover Writes ol Mis Progress in the Mission Field. Ed. Washington County News: I have been laboring in the Austin, Texas, conference for thirteen months, and have had success in my labors, I have made many friends and investigators, inves-tigators, and have had the happy privilege priv-ilege of baptising six honest-hearted souls. I am now laboring as first assistant as-sistant president in this conference in company with Pres. Duke. We are now visiting the city of San Antonio. We hope to open up a good mission here, as we find the people very kind and less prejudiced than in some of the smaller cities and towns. San Antonio has about forty thousand thou-sand inhabitants and has some notable buildings, but it is laid out in Old Mexican style with very narrow streets. The old historical Fort Alamo still stands near the business part of the the city: also the old cathedral, built over two hundred years ago, still stands in good condition. We also visited many other places of interest, but time and space will not permit me mention-'; mention-'; ing them. With words of encouragement to the i young men of Washington Co. to prepare pre-pare themselves to assist us in this great work. I will close. Tm: Xkws i welcome, success to it. i j Elder A. L.
