Show m RAILWAY ACCIDENT ' Near nodena--Passengere Severely Shaken and Some injured. B J. Lund, writing to his wife here from Modena on the 26th inst., states that the U & P train ran into a cow about a fourth of a mile from Modena station, the passenger and express cars being thrown off the track and the passenger car turning over. There were nine passengers, seven men and and two woman. The men escaped with slight bruises, but the women were all more or less severely hurt, one in particular who Mr. Lund describes des-cribes as "having a cut from the temple tem-ple to the back of her head and trie scalp turned back on a place as large as my hand." The innocent cow that caused the trouble was ground to fragments. |
