Show Good for the Horse Shoe. Salt Lake Tribune. Hon. R. C. Lund was the recipient yesterday of most cheerful news from the Horse Shoe group at Deerlodge, of which he and Messrs. Campbell and Johnson are the owners. A letter from the latter assures him that in the shaft is now exposed not less than three feet of ore that gave an average of $40 in gold per ton, and while this had narrowed nar-rowed up at one point it had again at a depth of 156 feet opened out into a magnificent showing. It is well known that Mr. Lund and his associates have turned down several very tempting offers for the group believing that with ' development it could be made one of the most productive in the State. It was rumored yesterday that control j of the proposition has passed into the hands of A. W. McCune, but this was 1 positively denied by Mr. Lund. |
