I CORRESPONDENCE 1 r-s: ar. r ir- & s?. sr. fr- & ir.' to the recent storms, which were needed so badly in this locality, We hare had two snowstorms since the Crat of March, but it did not lay long on the ground. It is nice and warm today. I'lVl'O, C. E. Knell went to St. George last week with potatoes, Wilson Tullis and wife went to Pine Valley on a visit yesterday. Joseph Piatt has returned home after an absence of three months. Some of the boys are on the desert looking- after cattle this week. R. G. Knell and N. D. Forsyth are on the desert putting- in small grain this week. Amos G. Thornton, who has been at Harmony the past week, came home today. Joseph Commerilh was here on the 17th inst. He offers a good price for cattle. Emil Barlocker passed through this place with a load of furniture for Enterprise Enter-prise this morning-. Frank Knell started for Lund this morning to meet Joseph E. Robinson, who is returning from Salt Lake Ctiy. The oldest daughter of Edmond T. Thornton had her fingers badly crushed crush-ed in the cogs of a wringer on the 18th inst. M. W. Harrison and Edmond Thornton Thorn-ton have 'just returned from "White River and are quite taken up with that country. We had a very pleasant rainstorm on the evening of the 17th accompanied with sharp peals of thunder. On the morning following the ground was covered with snow. Snow fell about six inches on the 9th inst., and a few more inches fell on the 13th. We all feel thankful for the storms, for so much dry weather was making us farmers feel very serious indeed. |
