Harder came In from Grass Valley for his mail and other business Monday. Mr. Harder said it took him six hours to come down. Twenty-two tons of copper bullion, the result of six days run, was shipped at Modena by the St. George Copper Mining & Smelting- Co. this week, Messrs. Warren and Norris, mining experts, arrived here on the 5th inst. and made an examination of the Apex mine. They left here Sunday evening. ASSAYER AND CHEMIST W. E Terhune, with the St. George Copper Mining & Smelting Co. Ores assayed and returns made the same day. Rates reasonable. H. H. Harder, the Pres. of the St. George Cattle Co., and wife are rusticating rusti-cating at Grass alley. Mr. Harder is perfectly charmed with Grass Valley and its genial people. At the school election held Monday, Charles A. Workman of Virgin was elected Superintendent of district schools, and Joseph Orton was elected trustee. Both succeed themselves. Mrs. Joseph Price and family expect to soon remove to Salt Lake city to reside. Mr. Price will remain in connection con-nection with the forwarding business at Modena, in which he is interested. The Grand Gulch owners are again forwarding ores to the railroad from their mine near the Utah line in Arizona, Ariz-ona, and will have another consignment on the market in a few days. Tribune.
