Show STATE LAND NOTIC'"K. United States Land Office. Salt Lake City, Utah, December 26, 1399. To Whom it may concern: Notice is hereby driven that the State of Utah has tiled in this office a list, No. 21 , of lands selected by the said Slate for the establishment establish-ment and maintenance of a Deaf and Dumb Asylum, under See. 12 of the Act of Conjrress approved July Id, l&'l. The following tract, embraced in said list, is in a township contain-inr contain-inr mineral claims of record, viz: The west bail" of the northeast quarter of Section eleven, in Township forty-one, south, and of Riinjc, thirteen, west, Salt Lake Base and Meridian. A copy of said list, so far as it relates to said tract, by descriptive subdivisions, has been conspicuously posted in this office for inspection inspec-tion by any person interested, and by the pub-lie pub-lie freueratly. Within the next sixty days following the date of this notice, under departmental instructions of Nov. 27, 1896, (23 L. D.. J), protests or contests con-tests against the claim of the State to said tract above described, on the ground that the same is more valuable for minera! than for agricultural purposes, will be received and noted for report to the General Land Office at Washington, B.C. Failure so to protest or contest con-test within the time specified will be considered sufficient evidence of the non-mineral character char-acter of said tract, the selection thereof being otherwise free from objection, will be recommended recom-mended for approval.
