Show Kl Fire In Japan. Advice.-, from Yokohama give particulars partic-ulars of a big- tireat Fukin, a large town on the western coast of Japan. The flames originated in the suburbs of the city and were carried by a heavy wind to several parts of the city at once. The fire raged six hours befora it could be controlled. Sixteen hundred houses, including thirty temples nnd all the principal j buildings were burned. Sixteen per- sous perished and nearly 100 more j were injured. The property loss is es-i es-i timated at 5,000,000 yen or about 82,- 500,000. There was but a small I amount of insurance. |
