The Normal-Academy Contest. The Iron County Record in its report of the Normal-Academy contest states that, referring to Ras Milne of thiscity: "The Normal's best runner, who was clearly the champion of the field, while leading his nearest competitor nearly a rod, was suddenly taken with a severe pain in the region of the heart, and almost had to be carried from the track. It was afterwards learned that he was struck a severe blow with a baseball the previous afternoon. By the accident Ras, who was by far the best all round athlete in the school, was rendered unlit to participate in any further contests." : m
