Show CUBA HAS PRESS CENSOR. Will Suppress the Publication of Inflammatory Inflamma-tory Editorials. Santiago, June 6. In view of the continued publication of inflammatory editorials in the local press, General Brooke has issued an order directing the appointment of a press censor for Santiago. The editors are indignant, but the public generally is pleased. The seditious articles have not been in any sense an expression of the general gen-eral opinion. Several anonymous letters let-ters have been received by the United States military officers here, threatening threaten-ing an uprising at an early date unless certain concessions, essentially preposterous, pre-posterous, are granted. One of these communications names June 20 as the date fixed for an outbreak. |
