Show OV EHTON. Calvin Kelsey is expected home this week. George Ingram has gone south to work. John F. Perkins left for White Hills a few days ago. Harry Gentrey of St. Thomas has his new brick house completed. Bishop T. J. Jones has gone to St. George to attend conference. A Mr. Crawford, of Washington, is stopping at the Johnson hotel. The binder is busy; some of the farmers farm-ers have their crops cut and shocked. The people of this' valley are anticipating antici-pating a glorious time on the Fourth of July. George Perkins and Dick Prince are hunting cattle near the Virgin river for Brigham Whitmore. John Thomas and wife, of the Wiser ranch, were visitors of Mrs. William Perkins on the fth inst. Born A daughter to the wife of John Everett. Mother and babe doing do-ing fine, and John happy. George Whitney and family have moved to Enterprise. The people of St. Thomas gave them a surprise. Miss Pearl Perkins is expected home on the 7th inst. She has been visiting at Rioville, on the Colorado river. Moses Gibson and son Robert are expected ex-pected home from Milford this week. Po.bert has been attending the H. Y. A. at Prove. The Misses Anna L. and Mary V. Perkins visited Rioville and had a boat ride on the Colorado, but dared not venture far on account of the river being so high and turbulent: some of the waves were five or six feet high. |
