Show BILL SHOULD BECOME LAW pressure of the entire membership of the american legion will be brought to bear upon the members of the senate committee on immigration in an effort to secure immediate action on a bill introduced in congress and already passed by the house which provides for the deportation por tation of aliens and other unde si convicted under the espionage act this bill known as H R also denies readmission to such individuals and has the support of the american legion which declared at its gt louis meeting in may that naturalized citizens convicted under tho espionage act should have their citizenship cancelled and should be deported in a bulletin issued from national headquarters of the american legion 19 west street new york city all local posts and state branches of the american legion throughout the country are requested to write to their respective senators and request that this bill be reported out of the senate committee and that immediate action be taken toward its becoming a law |
