Show the Bulletin have contributed much to the hospital program and a report has been made in full of their activities to the Department De-partment of Utah, American Legion Le-gion Auxiliary under whose auspices aus-pices this work has been conducted conduc-ted this year. VA HOSPITAL NEWS The "cookie jar" received six dozen cookies from Mrs. Fawn Price and one and one-half dozen doz-en from Mrs. Vienna Isbell this week and were delivered by Mrs. Amy Snow, Mrs. Pearl Knudsen and Mrs. Ruby Knudsen who spent Thursday in the sewing room at the hospital. Five beautiful beau-tiful potted plants were also delivered de-livered by the ladies to the hospital hos-pital from the Kennecott greenhouse green-house by Mr. Barlow, superintendent. superin-tendent. Others giving plants were Mrs. LaVon Larsen four plants and Mrs. -Aurora McKellar two plants. . Citations for one hundred hours volunteer service this past year were presented Mrs. Ruby Knudsen Knud-sen and Mrs. Pearl Knudsen in the theatre at the Ft. Douglas hospital Thursday evening. Other Oth-er types of citations were given in honor of 500 hours in a single year, and 1000 hours. The hours are based on the actual time in the hospital, which is kept on file in the Special Services office and includes all types of service which volunteers can participate in. Mrs. Gladys Scroggin and Mrs. Snow have given many hours, however citations are given giv-en for 100 or more hours in a year. Others from Bingham whose names have appeared in |
