| Show AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS AND AS AMENDED BY AN ORDINANCE PASSED THE DAY OF JUNE 1917 AND REVISED ordinances OP THE CITY OF ST GEORGE UTAH be it ordained by the city council of the city of st george utah sec 1 hereby amended to read as follows sec application tor water fee whenever any property owner or tenant desires to obtain a supply of water from the city water works he shall make application therefore there foie in writing to the superintendent and sign an agreement that he will be governed by such rules and regulations not inconsistent with this chapter as may bo prescribed by the city council for the control ot the water supply said application must state tho location kind of building number ot taps and the entire area of ground to be supplied and truly and fully state the purpose tor which the water la to be used such application having been filed and payment ot etteen dollars made to the city treasurer the superintendent is authorized zed to extend the main or service pipe to the inside line of the curb stone at the point opposite tho main most convenient tor supplying the premises of the applicant to each service pipe there shall be at the curb stone a stop cock and key box which shall be under the exclusive control ot the superintendent in case an application for furnishing water shall be made by a tenant of the owner of any property within the W ter system districts of this city tbt application shall contain an agreement signed by the owner thereof or his duly authorized agent to the effect that in consideration of the granting of such tenant or any other granting of such application the said owner will pay tor all water furnished such tenant or any other occupant of the place named in the application la case such tenant or occupant falls to pay tor the same according to the ordinance rules and regulations of the city provided further that no new water user after september first 1917 will be allowed to take water except through a meter section la hereby amended to read as follows section the annual rates for the supply of water from the city water works to be paid deml annu ally in advance are hereby fixed and established as follows to wit bakery 8 00 barber shop or dental parlor each additional chair boiler tor heating purposes only in private residences a minimum of 2 00 all others a minimum of 8 00 each but such boilers shall be rated as per water consumed baths public first tub or shower 2 00 each additional tub or shower 1 00 baths in private house each butcher shop 8 00 dance ball 8 00 drug stores 8 00 engines stationary and steam boilers except holler tor beating purposes es only used not to exceed 12 hours out of every 24 per horse power 1 00 engine or steam boilers when used constantly per horse power minimum charge for engines steam boiler except boilers tor heating purposes only 10 00 hose connections for sprinkling lawn garden etc 6 cents per minute hose connection tor garage tor washing cars minimum charge 10 00 hotel or boarding bouse five to ten rooms single tap alq 00 over ten rooms 12 00 each additional tap 60 cents house or private residence where the tap la located in the main building 6 00 per aap iap each additional apartment 6 00 or private residence where tap Is outside main building 8 00 per tap each additional apartment 6 00 each additional tap 50 cents hose connection for outside where tap is paid tor at inside rate 2 00 per tap each bath tub in hotel or boarding house 2 00 one water closet public building 4 00 each additional pubic closet 2 00 water closet in private residence each lavatory 60 cents each urinal 2 00 each laundry 16 00 livery teed or sales stable tor each stall or feeding place for single animal 60 cents offices banks etc each tap 8 00 pool or billiard room 8 00 soda fountains for season 8 00 for store or shop 58 00 corrals tor each animal up to five head 60 cents each or each animal over five head 36 cents each firo plugs or attachments for extinguishing gui shing fire 60 cents schools or other public buildings minimum 10 00 for a supply ot water tor any purpose not especially designated the price shall be fixed by the assessor of water rates corresponding with the standards hereinbefore es provided that tor each tapping of the main there mchall be paid a minimum annual tax 8 00 chere this tax is tor corral purposes no charge shall be made tor animals until number exceeds 22 head any person corporation or as ocl atlon may install an automatic public drinking fountain to bo installed and maintained at their own expense provided further that the city will furnish tree of charge wat sr tor such fountain provided further that said installation and maintenance la under the supervision of the superintendent ot water works after permission Is given by the city council sec as hereby amended to read as follows sec sll meter rates the annual meter rates tor the supply of water aiom the at georgo city water works to bo paid kemt annually in advance are hereby fixed and as follows to alt for any amount not exceeding gallons per ear 8 00 for any amount in excess of gallons per year the user shall pay at the rate of 20 cents per 1000 gallons provided that the semi annu lal meter rate of 4 00 shall be dus i and payable on the day ot january and the letb day ot july of each year as provided tor in section but the payment for the amount in excess of gallons used in any halt year shall be due and payable at the end ot the halt year when the meter shall be read by the collector of mater rates or
