It the rims are perfectly per-fectly plain at the split it will be necessary nec-essary to drill two 5-16 Inch holes about 4 inches from the ends. The pins are Inserted Into the holes drilled in the rim and the hinge is pushed down with the foot, thus spreading the rim. If there are studs on the rim, the hinge can be used without pins, by simply butting the ends against the studs, notching the ends if necessary to prevent the hinge from slipping. Frank N.
